It’s Time To Get #BOSUStrong!! 

There are few things more exciting to a trainer than new equipment or using equipment in a new way. I was SUPER excited to get started for this four week challenge with BOSU (one of my FAVORITE pieces of equipment) and my Sweat Pink community!

#BosuStrongBut, sometimes a challenge is more than just posting pictures on Instagram.  Sometimes the challenge makes you dig deeper. This has been a week of challenges for sure.
The BOSU and Sweat Pink #BOSUStrong challenge started on Monday, September 14 (and ends on October 9th. You can join the challenge whether or not you have a BOSU but you have one, right? Or you want one? You’ll have a chance to win one just for participating!) My challenges started that morning too. I had to train clients at 5;30 a.m. after coming back from a working weekend trip. My mind was swarming with all of the things I had NOT done in life and how I felt so behind.  I didn’t know how I was going to participate in one more challenge when my whole life felt like a challenge.

I started the challenge with a repost.  I had to get my mind right.

But as I saw my Sweat Pink community answering the reasons why they were #BOSUStrong, I started to realize that either I was going to go all in with this thing or I was going to just let it be just a thing.

Sometimes you’ve got to go in deep.

 

5 Things That Make Me #BOSUStrong

Today I am embarking on a 4 week challenge with BOSU and Sweat Pink to prove to the world that I am #BOSUSTRONG. I will squat, mountain climb, plank, push-up, lunge, crunch and balance my way to a stronger and more agile body. And I will encourage every personal trainergroup fitness instructor and everyone in my house to join me on this fun journey because we are one big, happy #FitFamily.

Being #BOSUStrong is not just about movement, sweat, or even owning a BOSU, its about being a leader, an inspiration to others, and sharing my own fitness journey with others. The 5 things that make be #BOSUStrong are:

My strong desire to be better. (I kept some things to myself this week when I wanted to crumble.  I know what I have to do and I’m willing to work hard and keep my mouth shut and just keep my eyes on the prize.  Less whining, more work.)

My ability to take a hit (physically/mentally) and keep it moving. (I spent hours preparing for a class that no one showed up to take.  That was hard. But I’ll just be ready for the next one.)

My love for community and the strong desire to help others reach for their best! (I was willing to look like an idiot doing the whip and Nae Nae in Zumba to help people not be serious about everything and create more of a fun atmosphere than a competitive one.)

My healthy outlook on eating well and not killing myself in the process. (I’ve been struggling with keeping gluten and soy out of my diet for a few weeks but I’m finding a balance.)

And not judge myself as long as I know I am doing my very best. (I had to teach a last minute class in a new facility to a group of people I’ve never met.  I was true to what I know and was comfortable knowing that I gave them all I had.)
