Get Ready For The #7DayStretch #LiveinprAna Challenge!

Last week, along with prAna my SweatPink and fitness community, we ended our two month #LiveInprAna challenge to complete 1 MILLION minutes of activity! The word “prana” itself means “energy” or “life force”  and wooo, did I need some energy and life and force to make it through my CRAZY summer!!!! 🙂

#1MillionMInutesIt was AMAZING to see everyone work hard, go out of their comfort zones and have fun with it! And just like with any hardcore push to the finish line, you need to STRETCH IT OUT! That’s what we are doing this week with the #7DayStretch #LiveinprAna Challenge!

The challenge starts today (Monday, August 24th) and ends at the end of the week (Sunday, August 30th). Join in with me, prAna and SweatPink on the fun – answering daily prompts (see below) – or if you’d prefer to lurk (which is totally cool too), you can follow along on FitApproach or through the hashtags: #liveinprana #7daystretch #sweatpink!


We’ll be talking about how we (the community) embrace a prAna lifestyle (#liveinprana) and are challenging ourselves to stretch a little deeper, farther and more mindfully for 7 whole days (the #7daystretch). And we’re not just stretching our bodies so you don’t have to be pretzel (even as a yoga teacher, I am not, by ANY means so you are in good company!) to join in, we’re also stretching our minds and souls! And if you know me, you KNOW that’s my thing!

We’re nearing the end of August and even though the summer is coming to an end, I’m super excited about the Fall because my oldest child is turning 18!!! And it’s getting ready to be pumpkin season all over.  In fact, my very favorite thing about Fall is the fact that both of my children have fall birthdays and I love to celebrate with them. They like to have active birthday parties! I can imagine myself wearing the Mattea Sweater while I play hostess to all of my daughters’ friends at her skating party because I’m always cold and I have to stay stylish because pre-teens take a lot of pictures.  🙂


If I had one goal for the Fall, it would be to finally reach my goal weight because I feel like I’ve wasted too much time doubting myself. To achieve it, I know I will need patience, perseverance and lots of green tea to get me up in the mornings to work out before work.  And of course I want to look great doing it so I have the Quinn Top on my wish list.  I’ve been looking at it for months! I think I want all three colors. 🙂
