#IOwnThis: FRS: Energy, Endurance, Eating My Words and Giveaway!

FRSI don’t do “energy drinks.”

I’ve also had no energy for a while.

It was time for me to negotiate somewhere.

I know, people tell me, eat better, sleep more and exercise.  As a vegan who requires seven to nine hours of sleep a night and works out for a living, I pretty much had those covered.  I’m a snob when it comes to what I put in my body.  So when I was given the opportunity to try FRS two-10 Discovery challenge, I will admit, I was skeptical.  To go from not drinking anything at ALL, to drinking two a day for ten days?  Really? I looked at the ingredients, thought about how I wanted to end the year and went for it. I am SO glad I did.

Photo Nov 21, 2 30 13 PMFRS sent me a bottle of their low calorie orange concentrate, a package of pineapple mango soft chews (enough for two servings), a can of low calorie wild berry and a can of strawberry kiwi.  The concentrate has to be mixed with six ounces of water and since I get up at 4:00 a.m. and am not always in my right mind, if I had a rough night and forgot to pre-mix it, I just grabbed the chews or a can (I actually traveled this weekend and took one of the cans with me). I started the challenge the Saturday after Thanksgiving (more affectionately known here in Alabama as Iron Bowl Saturday) and, after training a client, went in full throttle on some weights!

You know how it is when you take something new for the first time, you consider it the “placebo effect” if it works? That’s what I thought.  I wasn’t drinking coffee and FRS isn’t jacked up caffeine (the caffeine in it is green tea extract which is like 1.5 to 4.0 oz. of coffee, depending on the product.  When I do drink coffee, I’m going to go ahead and guess that it’s probably more than that.  Just saying). Me, Jay Z, Tupac and T.I. (don’t judge) made it through training a client, a yoga class and a brutal shoulder workout and I was feeling good.  But the energy and endurance were really more like icing on the cake.  The ONE thing I was SUPER excited and surprised about receiving as a benefit from FRS was clarity.  I mean some good, old-fashioned, “I can think clearly” clarity.

For those who don’t know me, I’m Tasha and I can be all over the place.

Photo Dec 09, 7 58 32 AMMy mental functioning increased BIG TIME.  I was surprised at how much focus I had and how I was able to get a lot done and stay on task (one of my biggest issues).  I was less frustrated at smaller things.  I don’t know if this had to do with the quercetin in the product (never heard of this stuff?  You must check it out.  It’s found in foods such as blueberries and apples and can help you sustain your own NATURAL energy.  Read that again.  NO JACKED UP CAFFEINE) or the extra vitamins or the green tea extract.  I’m not really all that concerned which part of it worked.  I just know it did.  I know I’ve done more working out than I have in a LONG time and I’ve haven’t gotten to the point working out that hard (can you say delayed onset muscle soreness?) in a minute.

So if you follow FRS on Twitter, Facebook or Instagram (because I know you do, right?), then you’ll know that they are offering everyone the opportunity to try the two 10-Day challenge for only $19.99 and THEN offering to give you your money back if you don’t see a difference.  WHAT?!?!?!? But……

I’m going to give you the opportunity to win a pack for yourself.

Have you heard if this is safe for someone with a heart problem?

Nikki, no, I have not heard either way. That is, most definitely, a question I would ask your doctor!
