In September, I participated for the very first time in Foodie Pen Pals, an awesome program created and maintained by Lindsay who blogs over at The Lean Green Bean. Lindsay and I are both FitFluential Ambassadors and I found her website through Instagram photos posted by another FitFluential Ambassabor, Cherie.
I had the privilege of meeting and sending a box to Erika in Colorado and I received a fabulous box from Melissa of New York. Melissa has her own bee hives and sent me some honey. 🙂 She also sent me an awesome dark chocolate and sea salt bar (which was waaaay too good), some hickory smoked almonds (which I started eating in the car when I got the box from the post office), some sunflower seeds and a cajun spicy trail mix. How cool is it to receive snacks that you absolutely adore from clear cross country? And they were brands that I cannot get here in Alabama which was cool too. I also loved Melissa’s personal note. 🙂
Foodie PenPals is a great way to meet new people and try new things. It is also an awesome feeling to send something to someone that you have spent a lot of time and care putting together. Foodie PenPals is open to blog readers as well as bloggers. If you’re a reader and you get parried, you are to write a short guest post for your penpal to post on their blog about what you received. If two readers are paired together, neither needs to worry about writing. Just enjoy! Foodie PenPals is open to US and Canadian residents. If you are interested, visit Lindsay’s blog. You will get your FoodiePenPal by email (you must sign up before the 4th of each month to get your pal by the 5th), you will mail your box off by the 15th and then share what you got. And I commend Lindsay because she is VERY organized and this is really cool.
